Milan have reportedly set their sights on Genoa striker Gianluca Scamacca, currently on loan from Sassuolo, as an heir to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The 21-year-old is on spectacular form this season with six goals in seven competitive games for Genoa, while he has seven goals in 12 caps for Italy at Under-21 level.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan have identified Scamacca as a potential heir to Ibrahimovic, who at 39 is seeking an apprentice upfront.

He has a similar physical build to Ibra, standing at 1.95m (6ft4in) and also spent time in the Netherlands with PEC Zwolle.

Coming up through the Roma youth academy, then PSV Eindhoven and Sassuolo, Scamacca also had loans in Serie B with Cremonese and Ascoli.
