Alexis Sanchez insists Inter performances have always been good, they were just ‘missing something’ and rediscovered the right attitude against Sassuolo.
Antonio Conte had asked for more ‘ferocity’ from his men and they delivered with two goals in the opening 15 minutes, from Alexis Sanchez and an unlucky Vlad Chiriches deflection.
That early 2-0 lead allowed the Nerazzurri to play defend and counter, adding a third through Roberto Gagliardini.
“We always put in good performances, we just were missing something with the final ball and the finish, but I personally believe we’d not been playing badly,” the Chilean told Sky Sport Italia.
“The more I play, the more in shape I feel. I am a professional, I always want to play, to challenge and to win. When we lost to Real Madrid, we started a little timid and allowed Real Madrid to settle without that pressure. We did much better today and had the right attitude from the start.”
