Napoli have filed another appeal against the 3-0 default loss to Juventus and points penalty, expecting a verdict before Christmas.

The Partenopei were penalised with an automatic 3-0 defat and also docked a point for not attending their Week 3 trip to Turin.

The club argued they had been given a travel ban by the local health authorities after Piotr Zielinski and Eljif Elmas tested positive for COVID-19.

The Partenopei were penalised with an automatic 3-0 defat and also docked a point for not attending their Week 3 trip to Turin.

The club argued they had been given a travel ban by the local health authorities after Piotr Zielinski and Eljif Elmas tested positive for COVID-19.

Both Serie A and the FIGC ruled Napoli had not followed the agreed medical protocol for COVID cases and did not do everything possible to organise the trip even before the local health authority (ASL) intervened.

Now Napoli have formally filed their third appeal to the CONI (Italian Olympic Committee) Collegio di Garanzia.

They added another lawyer, sports specialist Enrico Lubrano, to club representative Mattia Grassani.

A hearing and verdict is expected before Christmas, likely around December 18.

If Napoli win, then the only realistic date to replay the match would be on January 13.
