The Austrian has been linked with Juventus and can discuss with other clubs from January and Rummenigge understands why the top clubs in Europe consider making a move for the 28-year-old.

“Every team rightly think about reinforcing themselves,” Rummenigge told Tuttosport. “It’s normal, in this situation, that the top clubs think about Alaba.

“Now, it’s up to him to make a decision and maybe he will change team. Or maybe, he’ll change his mind and stay at Bayern. We’ll see.”

Alaba, voted the Austrian Footballer of the Year six times so far, has won two Champions League, nine Bundesliga titles and six DFB-Pokal with the Bavarians, plus the FIFA Club World Cup in 2014.
