After Sami Khedira confirmed he’ll leave Juventus in January, Everton coach Carlo Ancelotti hinted at a reunion. 'Maybe in January...'
The midfielder has effectively been frozen out of the Bianconeri squad this season and hasn’t made a single appearance, while his contract is due to expire in June 2021.
Everton are the favourites for his signature, particularly after Ancelotti was asked about the situation during a press conference.
“Sami Khedira was my player at Real Madrid, an important player for us,” said the former Napoli boss.
“I've a good memory of him, but I don't think we are looking for him at this moment… Maybe in January,” he smiled.
Last week, Khedira had told German newspaper Bild he was negotiating an exit in “December or January.”
