Roma defender Marash Kumbulla insists the Giallorossi have no problems against top clubs and reveals why he moved to the Capital in the summer.

The Giallorossi suffered a 4-1 defeat at Atalanta on Sunday and have failed to beat any top Serie A side so far this season.

“We struggled, but we faced a very strong team,” Kumbulla told Tele Radio Stereo.

“We must focus on the mistakes that we made, in order not to repeat them in the future," he added.

“We’ll prove we have no problems against big teams. We picked up draws against Milan and Juventus, showing we can be competitive against any opponent.

“Unfortunately, things did not go well in the second half against Atalanta, we’ll make up for it in the next games.”

The 20-year-old joined the Giallorossi in a two-year loan deal with option to buy last summer, despite the interest of other Serie A clubs, including Inter.

“Roma immediately showed me their strong interest. Then, I saw the fans, the coach and the club’s programs for the future. It all happened so quickly and I never had any doubt.”
