Thomas Tuchel has been sacked by Paris Saint-Germain and Mauricio Pochettino has been lined up as his successor, but reports claim Massimiliano Allegri and Thiago Motta are possible options.
Sky Sport Germany reported the former Borussia Dortmund coach has been sacked by the Ligue 1 giants and Mauricio Pochettino seems set to take over at the Parc des Princes.
PSG ended 2020 with a 4-0 win over Strasbourg and sit third in the League, one point behind leaders LOSC Lille.
Former Milan and Juventus coach Allegri has been linked with the French side in the past, but Pochettino’s representatives have reportedly been contacted and the former Tottenham coach is interested in the position.
Reports mention Allegri hasn’t been in touch with Les Parisiens, but Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio mentions former player Thiago Motta could be an alternative too.
Thiago Motta spent six years at PSG and led Genoa between October and December in 2019-20. The former midfielder started his coaching career in the club’s youth teams.
