Report: PSG couldn't match Allegri's demands

Massimiliano Allegri was reportedly the first choice at Paris Saint-Germain, but the French giants had to look elsewhere due to the Italian's salary demands.

Le Parisiens claims the former Milan and Juventus coach was at the top of PSG’s wish list to replace Thomas Tuchel at the helm.

PSG decided to part ways with Thomas Tuchel on December 24 and Mauricio Pochettino has been lined up as his successor at the Parc des Princes.

Sporting director Leonardo has according to the newspaper pictured Allegri as the next coach in the French capital, but his huge salary demands stopped the move from materialising.

Allegri reportedly asked for €12m a season to take over in Paris and forced the Brazilian director to look elsewhere.
