“Like every game for Juventus, we always go in to win. We cannot get this wrong, just as we shouldn’t have got some others wrong recently,” the director told DAZN.

Rabiot was left out of the squad against Fiorentina, but his one-match ban applies to this game with Udinese.

He was meant to be suspended originally for the Week 3 fixture with Napoli, which was initially ‘played’ for the Partenopei’s non-attendance.

When the CONI appeal ruling stated that game will have to be played out on the pitch, it meant Rabiot’s ban was never completed.

“It’s very disappointing for the lad, but seeing as the ruling from the CONI was released hours before the last game and there are two conflicting interpretations of the rules, we decided to err on the side of caution to avoid Fiorentina lodging an appeal.

“We have a very competitive squad, so we’ll see what happens tonight.”

Paratici was asked about the potential return of some old faces to Turin, following in the footsteps of Alvaro Morata.

“We love the players who were here with us, they gave us a great deal and we are always glad to see them again.”

Fernando Llorente has been linked with a return, but so have Mario Mandzukic and Paul Pogba.
