Calhanoglu picked up an ankle injury during Wednesday’s Serie A clash against Juventus.

Medical examinations underwent yesterday excluded a serious injury, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport, but Stefano Pioli and Milan’s medical staff do not want to take any risk and Calhanoglu will sit out against the Granata.

Sandro Tonali served a one-match ban against the Old Lady earlier this week and will return to action, but the Rossoneri still have several players on the sidelines.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alexis Saelemaekers, Matteo Gabbia and Ismael Bennacer are injured, while Ante Rebic and Ante Krunic have tested positive for COVID and are not going to be available tomorrow.
