Benevento sporting director Pasquale Foggia has confirmed the Streghe are interested in Inter forward Andrea Pinamonti.

President Oreste Vigorito said Foggia ‘is active’ and didn’t rule out any new signings this winter, but the sporting director stressed he is looking for someone who can contribute but won’t interrupt the current balance in the squad.

“We intend to do something on the market,” Foggia told Calcio in Pillole. “We are vigilant and attentive at the moment.

“We are open to improving the squad if the opportunity presents itself.

“At the moment, however, we must be very careful to not break the balance we have created.”

But the director confirmed the Streghe are interested in Inter youngster Andrea Pinamonti.

“As for the names, there are many players linked to Benevento in recent days, some are true, others invented,” Foggia continued.

“I can confirm that we are following Inter’s Pinamonti, he’s a player we like a lot.

“With [Nikola] Maksimovic, on the other hand, there’s nothing. He’s a player who I honestly think has much bigger ambitions.

“We will also try to do something to sell some players, always based on the requests that our players will have.”
