Claudio Ranieri praises Fabio Quagliarella and warns Keita Balde: ‘The second game is always the most difficult one.’
Keita has only played five games so far this season and scored his first goal against Inter on Wednesday.
“I’m pleased with his performance, let’s see what happens now,” Ranieri told Il Secolo XIX.
“When you play the first game after several months on the sidelines, there is always enthusiasm and it helps. But the second game is always the most difficult one. I’ll speak to him to decide whether he will start against Spezia.”

“I think it’s right to change players depending on the opponents. The players’ fitness also plays a big part in my choices.
“I know all my players very well now, I always try to make the best choices to win games.”
Fabio Quagliarella had been linked with a January move to Juventus, but the Italian striker has confirmed he is determined to stay at the Luigi Ferraris.
“I complimented him for those statements, he is a point of reference for us,” Ranieri concluded.
