Carnevali thinks Scamacca 'will stay at Sassuolo'

Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali believes Gianluca Scamacca will remain at the Neroverdi.

The Italy international, currently on loan at Genoa, has reportedly been targeted by Juventus through a loan deal with an obligation to buy for €25m.

But the Sassuolo CEO quashed reports of a loan deal and said the Old Lady ‘are not the only ones’ interested in the striker.

“Nothing is underway,” Carnevali told TikiTaka. “Scamacca is on loan at Genoa.

“There are various requests, but he’s part of our policy. Young, Italian and he must develop.

“If there are important conditions, we will evaluate. But I believe that Scamacca will remain a Sassuolo player.

“We will not loan him out and Juventus aren’t the only ones.”
