Milan negotiate with Mandzukic

Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are reportedly discussing terms with former Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic's representatives.

Calciomercato.com reports the technical director Maldini and sporting director Massara are in talks with the former Croatia international.

Milan are considering giving coach Stefano Pioli another alternative to veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the report reveals the negotiation has already started.

The reported talks between the Rossoneri directors and the player’s entourage continue, in search of an agreement on the duration of the contract and the salary for the 34-year-old centre-forward.

Mandzukic was released after a six-month stint with Al-Duhail, as he left Juventus in January 2020.

The striker spent four and a half years in Turin, scoring 44 goals and contributing 17 assists in 162 competitive games for the Bianconeri.

The former Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich player has won four Scudetti, three Coppa Italia, two Bundesliga titles, two DFB-Pokal, the UEFA Champions League and the Club World Cup during his career.
