Chiellini: 'Inter match not decisive'

Juventus captain Giorgio Chiellini said the Serie A match against Inter this weekend will be ‘important but not decisive’.

The Old Lady captain played 64 minutes of the 3-2 win against Genoa in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday and immediately focused on the big game against the Nerazzurri this weekend.

Juventus are currently fourth in Serie A, four points behind second-placed Inter and seven points behind League leaders Milan.

With more than half of the season left, Chiellini stressed the match against the Beneamata at San Siro will ‘not be decisive’ in the Scudetto battle.

“There’s still a round left, so I would say it’s important but not decisive,” Chiellini told JTV. “It’s clear that we come from a positive period, it’s important to give continuity.

“We must play another tough match in Milan, as we already did against Milan.”
