The FIGC Disciplinary Commission has shelved an investigation into Napoli for potential violation of the COVID-19 protocol during the cancelled game with Juventus.

The investigation had been opened in October after the Partenopei didn’t make the trip to Turin for their Serie A fixture, citing a travel ban imposed by the local health authority (ASL).

Napoli were originally docked a point and awarded an automatic 3-0 defeat to Juventus, but won their appeal at the CONI Collegio di Garanzia to have that decision overturned.

Consequently, the investigation into violation of the COVID protocol has also now been shelved.

News agency ANSA report the investigators found there was insufficient evidence to secure a conviction, so decided to abandon the process.
