Lazio-Roma ratings: Lazzari and Luis Alberto starred at the Olimpico

Manuel Lazzari and Luis Alberto were the stars of the show as Lazio hammered Roma in the Derby della Capitale.

Miserable defending from Roma gifted Lazio a host of opportunities and didn’t go unpunished against an electric Lazio.

Lazzari chased down every ball and terrorised the Giallorossi’s left side the whole night. Ciro Immobile did what he does best in the middle, and Luis Alberto finished off the job with great composure and technique to help Lazio to a historic moment at the Olimpico.

Reina 6 – Fumbled a bit at the start, but stopped Dzeko and started the Lazio attack on numerous occasions, including the break for the opener

Luiz Felipe 7 – No nonsense defending and eased the workload on Acerbi in the middle (Patric 69 6 – Continued the good work)

Acerbi 7.5 – Authority on display by the influential centre-back, an aura of control against an anonymous Dzeko

Radu 7 – Solid match, contributing to a compact back-three (Hoedt 83 6 – stood against the pressure from Roma at the end)

Lazzari 8.5 – Great job in the build-up for both goals in the first half, never stopped running and probably the Man of the Match

Milinkovic 7 – A lot is expected of Milinkovic every time Lazio play and he was somewhat instrumental going forward, struggling a bit when Roma countered

Leiva 6.5 – Did his job in the middle, grafting anonymously (Escalante 65 6 – Entered and finished the job)

Luis Alberto 8 – Scored two great goals, neat technique and great finishing helped Lazio to a historic night in the capital

Marusic 6.5 – Hard worker and played two solid halves

Caicedo 6 – Provided energy but nothing special, as the other attackers starred around him (Akpa Akpro 66 5.5 – Didn’t really get going after replacing Caicedo)

Immobile 7.5 – The potent striker was part of the terrorisation of the Giallorossi defence and of course did what he does best; scoring the opener with a great finish (Muriqi 83 – Came on to contribute mostly physically)

Roma :

Pau Lopez 5 – Can’t be blamed for conceding three goals on the night, didn’t get any help from his defenders but did a good job keeping out many attempts

Mancini 4.5 – Not a comfortable evening for the Italian (Bruno Peres 71 6 –

Smalling 4.5 – The English defender did not prove to be the leader in the heart of the defence when Roma needed it the most

Ibanez 3.5 – A nightmare for the centre-back, heavily involved in both goals conceded in the first half and he was left struggling having to deal with the Lazzari’s runs all night

Karsdorp 5 – Worked tirelessly but couldn’t put an important impact on the game at either end

Villar 5.5 – The Spaniard seemed composed and unaffected at the start, but the nervousness grew as the intensity increased (Cristante 60 5.5 – Was asked to take control in the middle but couldn’t affect the affair much)

Veretout 5 – Struggled big time to make the usual impact, swapped at half-time (Pedro 45 6 – Added some needed energy)

Spinazzola 4 – Contributed little going forward and was late tracking back, helping the Biancocelesti to acres of space at right on the break (Borja Mayoral 71 6 – Given the hard job of contributing to a toothless attack on the night)

Pellegrini 5.5 –  Not making the impact expected of him against a compact and solid Lazio defence

Mkhitaryan 6 – Lazio did everything they could to stop the attacking midfielder from turning and running at them, he still was the most interesting player on the ball for the away side

Dzeko 5.5 – Failed to convert a big chance ahead of Immobile’s opener on the break. Didn’t get much service but wasn’t easy to find either. Packed in by the Lazio defence and made anonymous mostly by a collective performance at the back from the Aquile
