Arturo Vidal has clarified he ‘never wanted’ to kiss the Juventus badge: ‘I respect Inter fans.’

The Chilean midfielder had been accused of kissing the Juventus badge prior to their Serie A showdown against Inter on Sunday evening.

The former Juve star spent four years in Turin before moving to Bayern Munich, Barcelona and eventually Inter.

The Chilean midfielder had been accused of kissing the Juventus badge prior to their Serie A showdown against Inter on Sunday evening.

The former Juve star spent four years in Turin before moving to Bayern Munich, Barcelona and eventually Inter.

The 33-year-old opened the scoring after 12 minutes and clarified what happened before the kick off.

“I’ve never wanted to kiss the badge of another team,” he wrote on Instagram.

“That kiss was a sign of affection for a brother who gave me football, with whom I lived wonderful years together and we love each other.

“I respect my team, my fans and people who trusted me to defend and develop the history of this amazing club. I will give my sould for this. Come on Inter.”
