Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso reportedly cancelled this morning’s training to protect his team from the cold, fatigue and stress ahead of Juventus tonight.
The Partenopei finally face the Bianconeri after the controversy at the start of the season, when Napoli were stopped by the local health authorities and initially lost 3-0 over the table and were deducted one point.
But the Azzurri appealed, and the decision was overturned, meaning Juventus and Napoli will meet at least three times after all this term.
Tonight’s Supercoppa Italiana at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia will be their first meeting in 2020-21 and Sky Sport Italia reports Gattuso decided to not train ahead of the big game.
The broadcaster reveals the coach wanted to have a session in the video room, to protect his players from the cold, fatigue and stress.
The Azzurri are therefore preparing for the match against Juventus in a different way than usual.
