Milan coach Stefano Pioli didn’t want to enter a controversy after Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini commented on the 12 penalties for the Rossoneri. ‘It doesn’t concern us’.
The Orobici coach said the number of penalties ‘makes the difference’, but added it’s also a ‘queston of skill’ and that the ‘experience is also a quality’.
Milan have been awarded 12 penalties in Serie A 2020-21 and have scored nine times, but Pioli tried to avoid the topic.
“It doesn’t concern us, great respect four our refereeing class,” he said at a press conference ahead of the match against Atalanta.
“They have always been considered the best in Europe. We will concentrate on the things we can determine.
“We are the team that has played most this year and we hope to continue every three days, we have many players for that too. We are only focused on this.”
