“We are concentrated on qualifying today and need a great performance to earn this step that would mean so much for our season,” Muriel told RAI Sport.
This is the first match since Gomez officially completed his transfer to Sevilla, although the former captain hadn’t played since December.
“It’s difficult. Papu meant so much to us and the whole Atalanta world. I want to remember him in the best way, he knows that I care for him and hope he can find his happiness there.”
