Cagliari have deposited the contract of Daniele Rugani with Lega Serie A, but the player will undergo his medical tests with the Sardinians tomorrow.
The 26-year-old returns to Serie A after a six-month loan spell at Rennes.
The former Empoli defender did only play one game in France and had been linked with Parma and Bologna as well.
Cagliari, however, managed to wrap up the deal and secure his services on loan until the end of the season.
The Sardinians have deposited the contract of the Italian defender with Lega Serie A, which means the deal is done even if the player will complete his medical tests with the Rossoblu tomorrow morning.
According to Sportitalia, the Serie A strugglers will pay €1.2m to Juventus for Rugani's temporary move to the Sardegna Arena, while Rennes will receive €500,000 if Cagliari gain Serie A survival this season.
