According to Milano Finanza, the American groups in advanced talks to buy Spezia are run by Alan Pace – who just purchased Burnley – and Michael Dell.
There have been numerous reports over the last few days that Spezia were on the verge of the takeover, after patron Gabriele Volpi took them to their first ever Serie A season.
Now Milano Finanza identify the investors as ALK Capital and MSD Capital.
The first is run by Alan Pace, a businessman who has only just completed the takeover of Premier League club Burnley for £170m, purchasing 84 per cent of the capital.
The other belongs to the family office of the founder of Dell Technologies.
This report states that they are prepared to pay €25m to purchase Spezia.
