Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic said Benevento coach Filippo Inzaghi ‘is a true friend’ and confirmed Riccardo Orsolini will not start against the Streghe.
Bologna and Benevento have both picked up 23 points from 21 games this term and clash at the Renato Dall’Ara on Friday night.
The Rossoblu coach spoke about his friendship with former Milan and Bologna coach Inzaghi, as the Serbian replaced him at both clubs.
“I contacted him even before Bologna called me, because the news came out in the newspaper, but it wasn’t true,” Mihajlovic said at a press conference. “He’s a true friend, he came to my farewell match after playing against Liverpool.
“On the pitch I threatened him, but we are connected. He was sacked here, but this happens to everyone.
“He immediately recovered, and he is doing well. I will be pleased to see him tomorrow.”
Bologna host Benevento in Serie A Week 22 but Mihajlovic has confirmed Andreas Skov Olsen will replace Orsolini in the starting line-up.
The coach continued to ask for more from Musa Barrow, who scored a brace against Parma last time.
“Tomorrow, Skov Olsen will play, not Orsolini,” he said. “Poli is ready and these are technical choices.
“In midfield we have many choices, [Jerdy] Schouten is essential. He’s a washing machine, you give him the dirty balls and he gives them to you clean.
“Then there’s [Mattias] Svanberg, who is growing. At the moment we can’t cope without Schouten, but he’s also on a yellow card.
“Barrow will have to score at least another six or seven braces to be successful, but we are happy he has started and we hope he continues like this.
“From tomorrow, I expect a convincing match. We have to repeat the performance against Parma, be attentive to the details.”
