Il Messaggero reports former Juventus, Inter, Roma and Parma player Luigi Sartor has been arrested for growing marijuana in a greenhouse.
The newspaper writes the former defender, who retired in July 2009 after a stint with Ternana, was caught with his accomplice while taking care of a very particular greenhouse.
He was reportedly overseeing 106 marijuana plants in an abandoned farmhouse when the Guarda di Finanza of Parma found him in Lesignano Palmia, a rural community in the Parma mountains.
The 46-year-old played 165 times in Serie A and 33 times across the UEFA Cup and the Champions League.
He was signed by Juventus Youth in July 1991 and enjoyed stints with Reggina, Vicenza, Inter, Parma, Roma, Genoa and Hellas Verona before the two years at Ternana between 2007 and 2009.
