La Gazzetta dello Sport highlighted Marco Verratti's performance for Paris Saint-Germain against Barcelona as so good he brought the Barca fans 'to tears.'
The Italy international set up Kylian Mbappé who scored the equaliser for PSG in the first half at the Camp Nou last night.
“Verratti made Barcelona fans come to tears as they had seen him as the ideal replacement for Xavi a few years ago. Tempo, tranquilty and class, Marco have it all. The marvellous assist for Mbappé was the icing on the cake. His pass was surgical, Mpabbé’s dance was outrageous.”
The former Pescara man, who left Italy in 2012 before even making one Serie A appearance was rated 8/10 by La Gazzetta dello Sport, while the other two Italians on the pitch, Alessandro Florenzi and Moise Kean, are both rated 7/10 by the pink paper.
