Cesare Prandelli said Fiorentina are ‘looking for continuity’ and claimed the changes in the second half helped the Viola in Friday’s 3-0 win over Spezia.

Gaetano Castrovilli came off the bench and changed the game at the Artemio Franchi, scoring one goal, assisting Dusan Vlahovic and sparking another for Valenting Eysseric.

“We were facing a team in good shape and we feared them,” Prandelli admitted to Sky Sport Italia. “We did well in the second half by changing something.”

“We are looking for it,” Prandelli added. “We didn’t play badly against Torino, Inter and Sampdoria.

“But the important thing is that we must not get lost in trivial details. Sometimes we complicate our lives, we get down and excited in the same game.”

Dusan Vlahovic scored the opener after great work from and the coach praised the Serbian striker, but called for the youngster to find ‘inner serenity’ and help his teammates.

“Sometimes he breaks down because it’s impossible for him to score on every ball,” he continued. “The important thing is that he plays for the team.

“He must find the inner serenity. He works with great determination all week. I don’t like mood swings during the match.

“From a character and motivational point of view, he is destined to improve.

“Then there are moments when the strikers don’t score and that’s where the player must grow thinking he’s useful for others.

“Let’s remember that he’s 20 years old and has important margins for a high-level career.”
