Keita Balde Diao admits it’s ‘always special’ to visit his old club Lazio and Sampdoria are not short on ambition at the Stadio Olimpico.

“It’s always special to come here, it was my home for a long time, I respect the club and fans, I left a lot of friends here and I am happy to be back,” Keita Balde told Sky Sport Italia.
He spent time in their youth academy and flourished as a senior player before leaving amid a contract dispute.
“We worked hard to prepare for this match and we feel ready to take the points. In this season, every point is precious and every match is up for grabs. Even if we are fairly comfortable in the table, as it were, we are still hungry and want to aim higher.
“If you work hard, you reap the rewards. I have to keep working at this intensity and wanting more from myself.”
