Sergej Milinkovic-Savic admits Lazio ‘suffered’ too much in a 1-0 win over Sampdoria, but they ‘can’t wait’ to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Luis Alberto scored the only goal at the Olimpico this afternoon, although Vedat Muriqi and Milinkovic-Savic also missed sitters, while Samp had strong penalty appeals.
“We suffered in the second half and we shouldn’t have done that, but we are against a strong team and unfortunately sometimes you do need that to take the points home,” the midfielder told Sky Sport Italia.
“We were fully focused on this game and not Bayern Munich, so we started the match with the right attitude. We’re in the Round of 16 after many years, the players can’t wait for Tuesday to come along so they can play against a great club like Bayern.”
