Milan Badelj’s stoppage-time rocket snatched a point for 10-man Genoa, closing off a thrilling 2-2 draw with Hellas Verona.
It was a hugely entertaining match played at a high tempo and intensity by both teams for the full 95 minutes.
Antonin Barak won back the ball and burst forward to set up Ivan Ilic for the opener, but Kevin Lasagna missed two absolute sitters that could’ve extended Verona’s lead.
Eldor Shomurodov came off the bench and immediately made the most of a flicked-on goal kick to equalise.
Marco Davide Faraoni blasted into the roof of the net to restore the Verona advantage.
Luca Pellegrini was injured with all the substitutions completed, so Genoa were down to 10 from the 76th minute, but still grabbed a draw with Badelj’s ferocious effort.
