Miroslav Klose explains why Robert Lewandowski is better than Ciro Immobile, but warns Bayern Munich about Lazio.
The former striker played with both clubs during his playing career is now the assistant coach of Hans Flick at Bayern.
“I am happy to see Lazio in Champions League, but I am sorry for the players who must be on the pitch without fans. I can’t imagine anything better than a Lazio-Bayern clash with a full stadium,” Klose told La Gazzetta dello Sport ahead of tomorrow's Champions League meeting.
“Lazio have some good players, Immobile, Luis Alberto, Correa and Milinkovic Savic. They have dangerous weapons, but if Bayern take the field with the right approach, we will notice the difference between the two teams.”
The game will see Ciro Immobile face Robert Lewandowski with the Italian who won the Golden Boot last season.
“I think Lewandowski is an absolute top player,” Klose said.
“I knew he was strong, but now that I coach him every day I can say he only has a few weaknesses. He is deadly with both feet, he is fast and with a strong header.
“Immobile is very good too. He creates goal-scoring opportunities and has a great shot, but Lewandowski has something more and I don’t even know if they are among the absolute best.”
