SPAL have confirmed the club has terminated the contractual ties with Leonardo Semplici, who seems set to join Cagliari.
The Rossoblu announced the sacking of Eusebio Di Francesco today, as the Casteddu are currently five points away from safety in Serie A and sit 18th in the table with 15 points from 23 games under the former Roma and Sassuolo coach.
Semplici has already arrived in Sardinia and seems set to be appointed new head coach at the Sardegna Arena.
“The technician Leonardo Semplici and his technical staff have resolved the contractual relationship with SPAL,” the Serie B side wrote in a statement.
“The term of the contractual relationship concern, in addition to Leonardo Semplici himself, the assistant coach Andrea Consumi, the athletic trainer Yuri Fabbrizzi and the technical collaborators Rossano Casoni and Alessio Rubicini.
“The Biancazzurri club wishes Mr. Leonardo Semplici and his technical staff all the best.”
