Alvaro Morata did not take part in today’s Juventus training session, as he is recovering from ‘a viral infection,’ reported to be cytomegalovirus.
A statement from the club confirmed the striker was not participating in today’s session with the rest of his teammates, as he is ‘continuing his recovery from a viral infection.’
Reports have pinpointed this infection to cytomegalovirus, which can cause basic flu symptoms for circa three weeks, including fatigue and aching muscles.
It is believed to be what caused him to have a fainting spell after the Champions League game with Porto.
Among the players out injured for the upcoming game with Hellas Verona are Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Arthur, Juan Cuadrado and Paulo Dybala.
Meanwhile, Danilo is also suspended.
