Edin Dzeko picked up a groin strain against Braga yesterday and is likely to miss Sunday’s Serie A clash against Milan.
The Bosnian started in the Roma attack against Braga last night and scored the opener in the first half.
However, he was forced to leave the pitch after 67 minutes due to a groin strain that is likely to prevent him from playing against Milan next weekend.
The Bosnian had started his second game since returning to the squad in February.
He had disagreements with Paulo Fonseca, which led the Portuguese tactician to drop him for the games against Spezia and Hellas Verona at the end of January.
Borja Mayoral has replaced the former Manchester City striker in the Roma attack.
He has 11 goals in 28 appearances in all competitions so far this season. He will replace Dzeko against Milan at the Olimpico on Sunday, should the Bosnian’s absence against the Rossoneri be confirmed.
