According to Tuttosport, Napoli are considering the return of Maurizio Sarri in the 2021-22 campaign.
The Tuscan tactician spent three seasons at the club between 2015 and 2018. He came close to winning the Scudetto in 2017-18, ending the Serie A campaign with 91 points.
He then moved to Chelsea and Juventus, where he won a Europa League and a Serie A title.
The Old Lady sacked him last summer after they had been eliminated from the Champions League round of 16 at hands of Lyon.
Sarri is reported to have had disagreements with Aurelio De Laurentiis.
Nevertheless, the President is reportedly considering his return to Naples at the end of the season.
Gennaro Gattuso won't be sacked before the end of the campaign, but he is not likely to continue at Napoli in 2021-22.
Napoli were eliminated from Europa League at Granada's hands last night and sit 5th in the Serie A table.
Sarri’s €6m-a-year contract with Juventus runs until June 2022, but the Old Lady can terminate the agreement at the end of the season, paying €2.5m.
According to Sportitalia, De Laurentiis had already offered the job to Sarri in January, but the coach rejected the proposal.
