Dybala has not seen any progress on his knee injury after six weeks and the Old Lady are eager to get him back in action quickly.

“For Paulo, we evaluate the best solution to make him available as soon as possible,” Pirlo said in a press conference ahead of Saturday’s match against Hellas Verona in Serie A.

“Dybala is not at risk for an operation. He had a consultation and now we will see what the best treatment will be.

“The recovery time of Dybala has unfortunately been prolonged and we haven’t been able to get him back.”

Dybala has not played since the 3-1 win over Sassuolo on January 10 and has only started eight times in Serie A this term.
