Fiorentina midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli said he could hear Franck Ribery from the stands against Spezia. ‘He’s always available to give me advice’.
The 24-year-old was influential when Fiorentina picked up three points against Spezia last time and the central midfielder has contributed five goals and two assists this term.
He started on the bench against the newly promoted side, but his entrance changed the game for Cesare Prandelli’s side.
Castrovilli explained he has a good relationship with veteran Ribery, who moved to Fiorentina from Bayern Munich in August 2019, and how the French 37-year-old, who is out injured, always gives him advice.
“In this period, even in training, things were not so good for me,” Castrovilli told Radio Bruno Toscana. “Franck kept telling me to stay calm.
“He told me to keep playing my football. Against Spezia, I heard him from the stands and it made me happy.
“He’s always available to give me advice.”
