Bologna goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski confirms he was brushing up on Ciro Immobile’s penalty technique before denying the Lazio striker.

The early save proved decisive, because Ibrahima Mbaye scored Bologna’s opener 80 seconds later, then Nicola Sansone sealed the 2-0 result.

“We are working on penalties, watching videos of our opponents and I waited to the end. Fortunately, I went the way he took it and saved the spot-kick,” Skorupski told Sky Sport Italia.

“We are working on penalties, watching videos of our opponents and I waited to the end. Fortunately, I went the way he took it and saved the spot-kick,” Skorupski told Sky Sport Italia.

“I made a couple of good saves in the second half too, but the whole team did really well and earned these three precious points.”

It was pointed out that Skorupski was talking to the goalkeeping coaches throughout the warm-up, so what were they discussing?

“These are our secrets, we can’t spill them with everyone watching! We were talking about how the opponents move and tend to shoot, so yeah, last minute going over the notes.

“This result fires us up, as Lazio are one of the best teams in Italy, we beat them 2-0 and kept a clean sheet, so can’t ask for more than that.”
