Hellas not only grabbed an equaliser with Antonin Barak’s towering header, but also forced Wojciech Szczesny into two fingertip saves onto the woodwork.

Nonetheless, Juric was not happy in his interview with DAZN.

“We made a lot of mistakes today and I think we didn’t put in a very good performance. I’ve got regrets, to be honest, because there are things we could do better and some really banal errors,” said the coach.

“There’s a lot of improvement to be made here and that’s why I say we are only at 30 per cent of our potential.

“I think we allowed Juve one chance, not much else, and that’s not easy against Federico Chiesa and Cristiano Ronaldo.

“I actually said 30 per cent because we’ve only really had time to work together as a group for six weeks, so it’s early days.

“I saw misplaced passes, the wrong decisions, yet we absolutely dominated in the last half-hour and if we had raised the quality level, we could’ve done even more.

“At this stage of last season, we were already defined, fully-formed. I think this time, we have margin for improvement both as individuals and a team. I don’t know if we’ll be able to do it, though.

“This season we decided to have a centre-forward, whereas last time it was a False 9. Our strikers aren’t quite delivering the goals yet, but I am convinced Kevin Lasagna and Andrea Favilli when he recovers will break through that dam.”
