Rogerio sees 'mature' Sassuolo

Sassuolo full-back Rogerio believes the team have reached ‘a certain maturity’ and can aim higher than mid-table ahead of today’s game with Napoli.

The Neroverdi were able to rest over the weekend, because their last round with Torino was postponed to March 17 due to the COVID outbreak in the Granata camp.

“We’ve been able to work on a few things we didn’t get right in the game and also to focus on improving our fitness levels,” the full-back told DAZN.

“I don’t think it changes much for Napoli, as they are accustomed to playing every three days.”

Sassuolo are in eighth place despite some poor recent results and are no longer just content to stay in Serie A.

“This group has been playing together for a long time and this season I feel like we’ve reached a certain maturity, so we can aim higher.

“Every game is difficult, but I believe we are preparing to look at achieving more.”
