Antonio Conte fought for a year to get Vidal at Inter as a free agent from Barcelona, but the rapport between the two men seems to have deteriorated.

The Chilean protested visibly when substituted on several occasions, Conte criticised him for his work rate and attitude, with Vidal dropping out of the regular starting XI.

He has been effectively replaced by Christian Eriksen in the side, who are top of the Serie A table and could move six points clear with a win at Parma this evening.

Considering Inter are trying to cut the massive wage bill, Vidal would be one of the first to go, as he earns a reported €6m per year.
