Fikayo Tomori hopes his experience in the Premier League will help him against Manchester United and insists he hasn't yet talked to Thomas Tuchel about his future.

"We know that it's an important match for both teams. It's the first game, and it's going to be a tough one. We are two great teams with great tradition and will be a great match," Tomori said at a press conference on the eve of Manchester United-Milan.

"We've studied Manchester United, we know it's going to be a tough game, they have fast strikers. I hope my experience in England will help me."

Paolo Maldini has recently praised the Englishman saying the Rossoneri want him to stay.

"It is very nice to hear these things, especially from a legend like Maldini," Tomori said.

"This gives me a lot of confidence. I want to continue doing what I am doing, playing for the team and for my teammates. We'll see what happens in the future.

"Hearing these words from a great defender is undoubtedly beautiful.

"I still need to adapt to certain things, I was worried about the language barrier, but there are players who speak English and I am trying to learn Italian, even if it's difficult.

"I am happy and I want to give the best for this team. I want to raise the level, Italy is different from England, the weather and food are better."

"I often talk with my former teammates at Chelsea, who are also great friends. They feel well and are satisfied. I haven't spoken to Tuchel yet, but he must remain focused on Chelsea as I have to think about Milan."
