Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick in Juventus' 3-1 win over Cagliari, but Il Corriere dello Sport agrees with the Rossoblu patron Tommaso Giulini, who felt he should have been sent off.

The newspaper writes the striker ‘hits’ the Rossoblu goalkeeper Alessio Cragno, and ‘deserved a red card’ during the match at the Sardegna Arena.

The Portuguese arrived with a high foot when he went to meet a cross, and he caught Cragno, leaving the Italian with a cut to the chin that was still bleeding later in the match.

Ronaldo was shown a yellow card for dangerous play, but Cagliari patron Tommaso Giulini felt the striker ‘put the safety of our goalkeeper at risk and therefore ought to be punished with a red card’.

Do you think Ronaldo should have been sent off before his hat-trick?
