Former midfielder Demetrio Albertini urged Milan to ‘keep dreaming’ of winning the Scudetto. ‘Anything can still happen’.

The Rossoneri have only won once in their last four games and the latest setback in Serie A has left them with a nine-point gap up to Inter.

But Albertini claimed the Diavolo will regret it, if they give up on the Scudetto race already.

“It’s necessary to look ahead because, if you look back, fear can set in,” Albertini told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

But Albertini claimed the Diavolo will regret it, if they give up on the Scudetto race already.

“It’s necessary to look ahead because, if you look back, fear can set in,” Albertini told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“You have to keep dreaming of the title for two reasons: First, to have no regrets at the end, it’s possible that Inter could stumble in a couple of games, I don’t they dominated their opponents against Atalanta and Torino.

“If they slow down a bit, it would be even worse for Milan to not have tried. Secondly, because if you aim high you have more motivation, you know you are playing for the most important target there is.”

But the former player stressed ‘anything can still happen’ and doesn’t feel Milan are going through a crisis.

“Results aside, I don’t see a team in a crisis,” he said. “There are still many games missing and an obscure context as never before.

“Anything can still happen. The decisive moment comes now, in spring.”
