Milan are in talks to extend Gigio Donnarumma's contract, but according to several reports in Italy, the Rossoneri are also considering possible replacements for the Italy international.

Donnarumma's €6m-a-year contract expires in June and La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the Rossoneri have offered the 22-year-old a new €8m-a-year deal.

The player's agent Mino Raiola hasn't either accepted or declined the proposal but has been taking time before deciding.

Milan consider Gigio's contract extension their priority, but several reports in Italy suggest the club are also evaluating possible replacements for the Italy international.

Mike Maignan of LOSC Lille, Juan Musso of Udinese and Pierluigi Gollini of Atalanta have emerged as concrete transfer targets for the Diavoli, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The paper reports that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is an admirer of Maignan as the Frenchman played in PSG's youth teams when Ibra was playing under the Eiffel Tower.

Sky Sport confirms the Lille shot-stopper is on Milan's radars and the same is true of Alphonse Areola who is currently on loan at Fulham from PSG.

As for Musso and Gollini, Udinese and Atalanta's asking price is in the region of €30m for both goalkeepers.

If Donnarumma fails to sign a contract extension, one of them could replace him at Milan in the 2021-22 campaign.
