Palermo are poorest in Europe

Whilst Palermo have the second best home record in Italy, numbers are suggesting that they are the worst travellers in Europe.

Only Udinese have collected more points at home than Palermo in Serie A this term, but the Sicilian giants are at the bottom of the away table.

Bortolo Mutti’s side, following the 1-1 at Lecce, have yet to win outside of the Stadio Barbera so far this season.

They’ve drawn five and lost nine on the road. Their last away win in Serie A came on May 5, last season, when they beat Sampdoria 2-1.

In the other major European Leagues, only Auxerre and Brest have yet to register away wins during this campaign, but they have collected seven and eight points respectively so far in Ligue 1.
