Ibrahimovic and Morata make impact

Zlatan Ibrahimovic provided an assist on his Sweden comeback after five years, while Alvaro Morata scored in Spain’s 1-1 draw with Greece.

Milan veteran Ibrahimovic made his return to international duty at the age of 39 and made an immediate impact, as he controlled and acrobatically flicked down the ball for Viktor Claesson.

That proved to be the only goal of their 1-0 win over Georgia, but Ibrahimovic played for 84 minutes.

Dejan Kulusevski of Juventus was also in the starting XI for Sweden, while Sampdoria’s Albin Ekdal came off the bench.

Juve striker Morata was on target in Spain’s surprise 1-1 draw, as Greece scored with their only shot on target – a penalty.

Elsewhere, Hungary and Poland played out a thrilling 3-3 draw with Piotr Zielinski, Arkadiusz Reca, Wojciech Szczesny and Bartosz Bereszynski in the starting XI.

Albania picked up a 1-0 win away to Andorra under Italian coach Edy Reja, with Marash Kumbulla, Elseid Hysaj, Etrit Berisha, Berat Djimsiti and Ardian Ismajli starting.

In the same group, England made short work of San Marino with a 5-0 victory.

Denmark won 2-0 away to Israel, with Christian Eriksen of Inter, Milan defender Simon Kjaer and Atalanta’s Joakim Maehle starting.
