Roberto Mancini lists the ‘dangers’ Italy face in tomorrow’s trip to Lithuania and hints Atalanta defender Rafael Toloi will get his debut.

It kicks off on Wednesday at 19.45 UK time in Vilnius after the Azzurri earned 2-0 wins over Northern Ireland and Bulgaria.

“There are dangers in this fixture, first of all the pitch, as we are not accustomed to this artificial turf, but also a Lithuania side who will be clammed up in defence and give us no spaces to move in,” Mancini told RAI Sport.

“Lithuania are a very physical side who defend well and they are playing at home. Switzerland only beat them 1-0 at the weekend and that confirms that all games are difficult, especially if it’s the third in a short space of time.”

Yet more changes are expected to the line-up in this third game in a week, as we could see Atalanta’s Brazil-born defender Toloi make his debut.

“It is a possibility, he has been with us for a week and we’ve got to know each other better.”

The Italy coach has been vocal in calling for fans to be allowed back into the stadiums, especially for the opening Euro 2020 fixtures in Rome from June 11.

“I honestly have no idea what’s holding it up, but I hope things are sorted out not just by June, but before that.”
