Verona attacking midfielder Mattia Zaccagni has long been a Napoli target, but the latest reports suggest he’d prefer Milan.
The 25-year-old has been crucial to Verona’s form over the last two seasons, and this term has five goals and seven assists in 27 Serie A appearances.
Napoli made no secret of their interest in Zaccagni for at least a year.
However, L’Arena di Verona newspaper claims that the player would much prefer to join Milan and is holding out for their approach.
It would be further boosted if the Rossoneri qualify for the Champions League.
The same source maintains Milan directors are in daily contact with Hellas Verona to discuss Zaccagni’s situation.
