Claudio Marchisio insists that Juventus must confirm Andrea Pirlo and sell those who are ‘not willing to fight.’

“I think the Scudetto is gone with the defeat against Benevento, and even with a win, it would have been difficult,” the former midfielder told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter have self-confidence. They don’t concede goals even when they suffer. Juventus dominate some games and suffer in others. There is no balance.

“I think the Scudetto is gone with the defeat against Benevento, and even with a win, it would have been difficult,” the former midfielder told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Inter have self-confidence. They don’t concede goals even when they suffer. Juventus dominate some games and suffer in others. There is no balance.

“There was no alchemy between the coach, new some new players and the old guard. Everyone apart from Chiesa and McKennie have had highs and lows.

“At the end of the season, they must talk to each other. Whoever is not willing to fight and win must go.”

Including Paulo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo?

“It’s up to the club. Dybala’s value can’t be questioned, he’s a pure talent, but he can stay only if he has something to offer.

“I hope Ronaldo stays if he has the right behaviour and the usual desire to win. The same goes for any other player. It’s not easy to find new energies after so many years.”

Should Juventus confirm Pirlo as their coach for next season?

“Juventus’ drop has begun in Max Allegri’s last season. They won the title but risked being eliminated in the round of 16.

“It’s fair to continue with Pirlo, but the season will be a failure if Juventus don’t finish in the top four.”
